With everything that’s going on in the world right now, it’s no surprise that stress, depression and anxiety levels are on the rise. What can be done to overcome this dire situation? According to the experts, if you’re feeling down or stressed out, it’s important to be honest with yourself and others. Look to friends, family and loved-ones for support and don’t hesitate to have a word with your doctor or a counsellor. There’s no need to be embarrassed. “It’s OK to not be OK,” as they say. As always, but particularly in stressful circumstances, you need to take care of the basics. Have a good night’s sleep, preferably seven or eight hours. Eat a healthy, balanced diet. Avoid overdoing it on alcohol or other intoxicants. And get regular exercise.…
