On September 6, the Redress Design Awards took place at Centrestage at the Hong Kong Exhibition Centre, marking the 14th cycle of this globally renowned competition. It was originally scheduled to be held on September 5, but the organisers were thrown for a loop as Super Typhoon Yagi hit. But as with anything in fashion, the show most certainly went on after the storm had passed. Organised by Redress, an environmental NGO dedicated to promoting a circular fashion industry, the event showcased the creativity and innovation of emerging designers who are committed to reducing fashion’s environmental footprint.
