Joyce Wang is filled with a sense of wonder. The award-winning interior designer is fascinated with journeys and places and, through her projects, she loves to transport people—into the past, the future and even alternative realities. Mott 32, the restaurant project that launched her career, invites diners into Hong Kong’s past, while Spiga in LHT Tower transports guests to 1950s Italy, and the E by Equinox St James health club in London’s Mayfair, with its bold, black slate and polished metals, transforms a historic structure into something out of a science fiction film. Joyce believes it was her nomadic upbringing that sparked her roaming imagination.
