MIMI HOANG I was invited to advise the team in terms of concepts, approach and pricing. Initially we focused on a pop-up installation that transformed a dumpster into a mini-park. Upon the heels of the success of the installation, the team shifted focus onto a permanent public plaza. CHRISTOPHER CHOI I took care of most of the planting areas—we actually kept trees and planters wherever we could. We looked at the regulations as well, which is the reason why the play areas in the middle look like two islands with an S-shaped pathway in between.
