YOUTH DIABETES ACTION FUNDRAISING DINNER

King Tut: Treasures of the Golden Pharaoh was the theme of the annual fundraising dinner for Youth Diabetes Action (YDA), which was co-chaired by Joanna Hotung and Melissa Brewster and took place at the Conrad Hotel. The evening started with a cocktail reception in the atrium, where guests posed for photos with a replica statue of Tutankhamun and a pair of gold thrones. When the doors to the ballroom opened, guests were mesmerised by Berge Studio’s transformation of the space, which included more statues of King Tut and projections of hieroglyphics on the walls. Entertainment included a performance by the Face Productions children’s choir, and there was a silent auction, with all funds going to YDA programmes to support individuals and families affected by diabetes.
