NATURE CONSERVANCY GALA DINNER

A record US$8.4 million was raised at the gala dinner of the Nature Conservancy (TNC), which was held at the Grand Hyatt. Sponsored by Morgan Stanley, it was pegged as a night of nature, art and wine. Notable attendees included Hans Michael Jebsen, Tung Chee-chen and Richard Li, to name just a few. The evening started with a welcome by event co-chair Moses Tsang, a global board member of TNC. After thanking everyone for their support, he introduced a video clip made by CNN for the occasion—a call to action to tackle issues born of climate change. Musical entertainment during the gala included violin performances by Beijing-born international star Dan Zhu and 13-year-old prodigy Paloma So, who were accompanied by Korean pianist Maria Jee.
