Having built a reputation for intricate designs that reflect both ancient cultures and modern symbolism, Austy Lee’s latest high jewellery collection continues to draw from a rich cultural tapestry. The new Ikhor collection is inspired by ichor—the mythical blood of gods and immortals in ancient Greece—and features deep hues. Each piece also draws influence from disparate cultures the world over. The Kondo-doro ring, for example, is an 18-karat white gold piece set with rubellite, fancy coloured and white diamonds that takes its name and shape from a historic Japanese lantern. Typically crafted from stone or bronze, the kondo-doro can be found outside Buddhist temples across Japan.
