’Tis the Season

On the evening of December 9, the great and the good of Hong Kong attended the Fayre of St John’s, an annual fundraising event hosted by Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centre (MCCC). Since 2008, the organisation has provided cancer patients and their families with free holistic care services, including emotional, social and psychological support. Members of the organising committee included Anne Wang Liu, Martha Keswick, Nadia Harilela, Alison Lusher Falloon and Audry Ai-Morrow who organised a one-hour programme packed with holiday cheer. At St John’s Cathedral in Central, 200 people gathered to listen to a thoughtful sermon by Reverend John Chynchen with touching remarks by Leong Che-hung, chairman of MCCC’s board of governors.
