WINTER WONDERLAND Van Cleef & Arpels’ dramatic end-of-year creations often take inspiration from flowers. For those who love bouquets as much as they love diamonds, this new Lotus Between the Finger ring has a wintry appeal that’s impossible to resist. FIRST STRIKE Forms’ latest creation shines a spotlight on the Japanese craft of working with shakudō, an alloy of gold and copper that was historically used to decorate the hilts of samurai soldiers’ swords. The pictured one-of-a-kind bracelet boasts a yellow-gold structure generously coated with browned shakudō, which frames an elegant row of yellow diamonds weighing a total of 11.2 carats.
