All About That Baste

On November 24, 20 members of the Tatler community gathered at Salisterra at The Upper House for an early Thanksgiving celebration. Split across three tables, guests including fashion journalist Divia Harilela, co-founder and managing director of Advisory Council Federico Tan, the Hong Kong Ballet’s artistic director Septime Webre, and designer Vivienne Tam arrived in their holiday finest to enjoy a feast prepared by chef de cuisine Chris Czerwinski. Over cornbread, buttered scallops and salt-crusted turkey ballotine, those seated at the private chef’s table talked about what they were most thankful for this year. Angela Cheng-Matsuzawa said she had chosen to be grateful to Covid-19 for allowing her family a chance to be grounded in Hong Kong, creating more opportunities for quality time with her twin sons.
