ALEXANDRE VAUTHIER

BACKGROUND French fashion designer Alexandre Vauthier is a graduate of the renowned private French fashion school ESMOD. He trained under Thierry Mugler and became the head designer at Jean Paul Gaultier for eight years before creating his own haute couture brand in 2009. With streamlined silhouettes, big shoulders and radical layers, Vauthier’s collections are futuristic and full of geometric shapes. His approach to style is confident and bold, attracting singer Rihanna, who he dressed for over a year and for whom he designed many costumes. UNIQUE COLLABORATION Vauthier was invited by Parisian high jeweller Mellerio to design a collection for the 400-year-old brand.
