Jury member Sean Li shares some thoughts on the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève and its future

THE GRAND PRIX d’Horlogerie de Genève has for 15 years gathered the best and brightest of the watchmaking world in Geneva for the unveiling of a number of awards and the ultimate prize, the Aiguille d’Or. The winners are determined by a secret ballot a few days before the awards ceremony, when the jury members gather to examine the watches and rank them according to their personal preference. It’s been an honour to be part of the jury for the past four years. I’ve made a number of new friends in that time and have grown to appreciate not only the time I spend with them in Geneva, but our exchanges throughout the year.
