WOMEN HELPING WOMEN GALA DINNER

The ballroom of the Island Shangri-La was transformed into an imperial dining hall for the annual gala dinner of Women Helping Women Hong Kong (WHWHK), which was held in conjunction with the Hong Kong Family Welfare Society. The evening kicked off with a cocktail reception during which guests, dressed to impress in keeping with the imperial black-tie dress code, took in the many fabulous outfits as they mingled. The charity’s co-founder Mahnaz Lee looked resplendent in a vintage chinoiserie-inspired dress. A silent auction took place throughout the evening, but it was the live auction that was the most entertaining, with husbands bidding frantically for a pair of Adler diamond earrings.
