HONG KONG TATLER & JAMESSUCKLING.COM GREAT WINES OF ITALY DINNER

More than 240 of the city’s wine lovers gathered at the Four Seasons Hotel for the exclusive and much-anticipated annual Great Wines of Italy dinner, presented by Hong Kong Tatler and JamesSuckling.com. Italian chef Massimo Mentasti from Michelin-starred Ristorante La Gallina at the Villa Sparina was flown in for the event. “It is so nice to see the enthusiasm here in Hong Kong for Italian food and wine,” he said. He created an impressive four-course Italian feast, which included a mouth-watering tuna starter, a decadently creamy cheese risotto and a juicy dish of beef cheek. During the main course, two ribbon dancers drew attention to the centre of the ballroom as they performed a synchronised routine while dangling from the ceiling above the wine bar.
