Should you tell a new acquaintance if something is stuck in their teeth?

YES I thinkmost of us would rather be told if we had a piece of spinach stuck between our teeth. The alternative is that later, when confronted with our reflection, we realise with embarrassment that it wasn’t our fabulous wit and intellect that had our companions tantalised but that stubborn bit of green. So I would take the approach recommended by Desmond Morris in Manwatching—A Field Guide to Human Behaviour, touch my own tooth and pray that my acquaintance would realise and follow suit. If not, I would try to catch the person’s eye and very subtly say they have a little something stuck between their teeth.
