The Hong Kong Ballet Ball dances its way back to centre stage in its fourth decade of glitz and glamour

On February 17, 360 VIP guests—dressed in monochrome as per the black-and-white theme—will descend on the ballroom of the Grand Hyatt for the Hong Kong Ballet Ball, the 32nd edition of the gala event. As well as the cocktail reception and lavish four-course dinner—all washed down with lashings of Perrier-Jouët Champagne—guests will be entertained by a children’s performance of Waltz of the Flowers, dances from Swan Lake, live and silent auctions, and even a pole-dancing performance by ballerina Vanessa Nok-sze Lai, before taking to the dancefloor themselves to swing into the early hours. Alongside co-chairs Daisy Ho, Mira Yeh and Janice Chan-Choy will sit esteemed committee members, including Maya Lin, Peter Cheung, Adrienne Hui, Alicia Ku and Wendy Law.
