Bianca Ho, who runs Hong Kong-based tech start-up Wati, has long believed in the transformative power of technology. Her journey started in 2009 when she was selected by the non-profit organisation DotAsia to become a NetMission Ambassador while studying at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School.
Through this programme, Ho had the chance to participate in the United Nations’ Internet Governance Forum, where she engaged with the likes of internet companies and policymakers. She also launched initiatives such as computer training workshops for working mothers and underprivileged children, aiming to bridge the digital divide—the gap between those who have access to technology and those who do not.
