A Day at the Races

A celebration of horse racing, fashion and modern-day chivalry at Hong Kong’s ultimate social event

The Hong Kong Jockey Club hosted its annual Gentlemen’s Bow Tie Raceday in October—a glamorous event which brought together some of the city’s most high-profile people at Sha Tin Racecourse for an afternoon of delightful food, drinks, music and entertainment. Inspired by popular international races across the world, the day’s programme was all about celebrating the longstanding tradition of horse racing while nodding to the spirit of being a gentleman. Dressed in elegant black tie, jockeys, trainers and racing officials wore bow ties to match this year’s theme “race in style” and showed their support of the raceday. Guests arrived around noon and were served welcome drinks.
