House of Dance

It was always likely that the clean, sculptural lines and bold artistic vision of the properties under The House Collective’s umbrella would one day inspire a dance programme. This summer, the hotel group launched the second edition of Encounters Across Cultures, an art programme curated and produced with movement director Patsy Lo held across all four of its luxury establishments: The Opposite House in Beijing, The Temple House in Chengdu, The Middle House in Shanghai, and Hong Kong’s The Upper House. The ongoing programme, which began in Shanghai in July, this year explores the relationship between dance and the unique architecture and design of of each property.
