Motoring along Castle Peak Road, the sea sprawls to one side while rolling green hills rise up on the other. It’s Hong Kong’s longest road and, completed in 1920, it also has plenty to offer in terms of heritage, starting with its very addresses. Sites along Castle Peak Road were historically rendered in milestones, the number marking the distance in miles from West Kowloon; 18.5 Milestone Castle Peak Road, for example, was situated 18.5 miles from the harbourfront.
