Shortly after graduating from university in 2002, Tony Yeung, now the chief executive officer of property company Peterson Group, was tasked with developing a hotel. Despite having minimal experience, Yeung’s effort, combined with his great ambition, paid off. Five years later, Hotel Panorama opened its doors and became a popular place for tourists to stay. When Covid-19 started and the hospitality sector was hit, Yeung decided to halt operations and use the hiatus to modernise its assets to keep up with market trends, such as introducing new technology and projects that would make the hotel more sustainable. “My aspiration was to add a distinctive hospitality venture that would drive change and create unique experiences to capture different elements of Hong Kong,” he says.
