Diversity can be a touchy subject. It can often be a minefield of misunderstanding and miscommunication, and the fear of misstepping can often hinder the conversations needed to bring crucial matters to light. Our August theme is centred on change, diversity and inclusion, and even during the process of putting this issue together, we were constantly learning and trying to educate ourselves on the right language to use, the right angle to take—in essence, the right way to tackle the topic sensitively and thoughtfully.
