These gem-set timepieces are bringing bling back

WEARABLE ART The Reverso Tribute Enamel Hidden Treasures series by Jaeger-LeCoultre pays tribute to three iconic artists: Gustave Courbet, Vincent van Gogh and Gustav Klimt. The timepieces are like canvases for the wrist, with the watchmaker using the reverse of its swivelling Reverso case as an opportunity to reproduce paintings in miniature using guilloché decorative techniques. The pictured model is inspired by a Klimt painting, Portrait of a Lady (1917), which was stolen in the late 1990s from an exhibition in Italy. Thankfully, it was recovered from the gallery’s grounds in perfect condition by a gardener just a few days later.
