I have no doubt that during this old Hollywood era, Mickey could have arranged the demise of a vengeful wife, if it ever came to it. However, Barbara had just sent him her recording saying she would cooperate with him. He also knew he could throw lawyer after lawyer at her to get what he wanted if she didn’t play ball. So I cannot see or feel him planning to murder her or Miloš. And while Miloš had created enemies within the Corsican mafia, I don’t feel this was enough to fuel a hit.
