Being followed by a ghost

The spirit seen by hikers on the shore of Windermere may have been a hiker, still enjoying walking in his favourite place. Maybe he sees himself as a guide helping other hikers. Or he could be trapped and looking for help to pass over. During a paranormal investigation at a derelict asylum, I heard footsteps following me. Feeling the spirit wanted to show me something, I followed the footsteps upstairs to a padded room. The spirit had wanted to show me where he had died.
