As I unpacked my last cardboard box, I let out a sigh of relief and felt an immense sense of satisfaction. ‘Phew, all done!’ I said to myself. Newly divorced, I'd just rented myself a ground floor flat. I'd been looking to rent for a while and had been on a few viewings, but when I saw this flat, I knew I had to have it. Set in an ancient woodland, it was a ground floor flat surrounded by organic wild strawberries. It was perfect. In a past life, it used to be a Georgian coaching inn but it had lain empty for some time. The rent was cheap, so I guess the landlord was keen to get someone in.
