The ultimate sacrifice
Tied to a stone altar, I gazed in terror as the hooded figure plunged the gleaming dagger towards me, deafening chanting in the background adding to my fear. As the sharp blade seemed ready to penetrate my helpless body, I woke up, sweating and trembling.
What a dream, I thought, as I opened my eyes and locked my gaze with the hooded figure holding a wickedly sharp knife.
My final terrified scream was lost in the deafening chanting within the dark chamber as the dagger plunged down towards me.
Not a dream this time!
