A demon tricked me into friendship – but could I find a way to break free?

It was Halloween and getting dark when my school friends got out the Ouija board. ‘Count me out,’ I said, settling back on the sofa to watch from a safe distance. I knew Ouija boards were bad news. ‘Who do you have a message for?’ giggled one of my friends. Slowly, the glass moved to ‘R’. ‘Rachelle, it wants you!’ my friend Claire cried, as I heard a horrible scratching sound from the wall behind me. ‘OK, guys, stop!’ I begged. To my relief, they agreed and tried smashing the glass to release the spirit. It didn’t work. We stood on the glass, jumped on it, hit with a hammer and even threw it at the wall…but it wouldn’t break. Desperate, we ran outside and threw it into the sea.…
