Mariachi music played across the restaurant, as my partner and I gorged on tacos.
“Happy anniversary,” I said, grinning.
“Happy anniversary, baby,” my man, Javaunte, said with a smile. “I love you.”
It was June 2015 and, after meeting Javaunte online, it was the happiest I’d ever been in my life.
He was sweet, loving and made me feel special.
A few months later, I fell pregnant and we were both delighted.
