Seldom does a .22 rimfire firearm make a change to the market, but the recently released Ruger left-hand Competition 10/22 carbine that I was introduced to at the 2022 Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) Shooting Sports Showcase seems to have done just that. For almost 60 years, one of the best and most popular .22 LR rifles has been the legendary Ruger 10/22, first made in 1964 with a unique rotary magazine. It has prompted such a huge amount of aftermarket replacement parts and accessories that the Ruger 10/22 is becoming one of the most modular firearms on the market.
