ISRAELI WEAPONS INDUSTRIES (IWI) has now joined the striker-fired pistol market with the introduction of the Masada. Chambered in 9mm with a barrel length of 4.1 inches and a price tag sliding in just under $500, IWI isn’t messing around. Given the reputation that IWI has when it comes to weapons research and proven abilities, the Israelis are at the forefront. They have given the firearms community the Galil, Tavor, Uzi, Jericho and Desert Eagle. Need I say more? Now, IWI has brought the firearms community the Masada. In case anyone was wondering, Masada roughly translated from Hebrew means “Fortress.” More specifically, it refers to an ancient fortress on the edge of the Judean Desert, overlooking the Dead Sea.
