MOVIE GUNS THAT DONT EXIST

Many films, especially those set in the future, feature firearms that aren’t real—at least in the sense that these guns haven’t been commercially produced. One of the most iconic fantasy firearms is the PKD (Steyr Pflager Katsumata Series-D Blaster)—also known as the 2019 Detective Special—the sidearm carried by Harrison Ford’s character in the film Blade Runner. That particular prop was constructed from parts of a Steyr Mannlicher .222 Model SL and a Charter Arms Bulldog revolver with an added side cover to mask the Bulldog’s cylinder. This handgun also featured numerous LED lights.
