AIRFORCE AIRGUNS This Texas manufacturer of single-shot PCPs already broke the .50-caliber, 800 fpe barrier with their Texan model last year, followed up by the Texan LSS. Now, AirForce has introduced carbine-length versions. The new .50 Texan Carbine uses 24.75-inch Lothar-Walther barrels and delivers high power in a lighter, more compact platform for easier maneuvering in heavy brush or hunting blinds. Overall length is 39 inches with a weight of 7.5 pounds including the 480cc air tank. Energy output is rated at 500 fpe. The MSRP lists at $1,085 sans sights and optics. A version with carbon fiber air tank and upgraded TX2 valve system lists at $1,230 and can yield up to 630 fpe using a 622-grain bullet. The new .50 TexanSS is essentially the same air rifle only…
