Cronulla was no place for exhibitionists. The reefs around town sorted that out first… Cronulla itself then did the rest. But at 39, Kirk Jenkins is living and surfing free of suppression these days. It’s all out there. While the actor, artist and general expressive might seem more like a product of Bondi or Byron, he’s Cronulla born and bred. It’s home, although it hasn’t always felt that way. In his twenties, Kirk moved away to LA, chasing an acting career and whatever else came with it, but like most he returned home broke and slightly broken. His one-man show though goes on today, out on the Cronulla reefs, on a raft of craft, occasionally in character and costume, playing to a local audience who, in time, have grown to…
