The question was always going to be, what happens when Jack Robinson makes it? There was never any doubt he would – that was fated – it was simply a matter of what shape his surfing took. He was a kid like we’d never seen; raised in the wild, outside of the system, surfing Tombstones at 10… we were always going to get something special. Well, his surfing at the world’s trophy waves has been everything we hoped it would be. Fearless, instinctive, brilliant. He’s won the events we all thought he’d win: Tahiti, Pipe, G-Land, Sunset, Barra de la Cruz and of course home at Margaret River, twice.
