Surfing fame was never going to be enough to contain that over-developed personality, and so it was only mildly shocking when Paul Fisher, lowly-ranked Gold Coast tour surfer, resurfaced a few years later as Fisher, international DJ, wearing a bucket hat and white-framed sunglasses, flying in private jets to residencies in Ibiza and Vegas where he played to hundreds of thousands of punters.
