The booming voice with more gravel than the car park itself, the most distinctive voice in Australian surfing, travelling on the wind through the moonah trees, the bellowing laugh and the scratchy “Yeah brother!” as he catches up with a mate he hasn’t seen since last year, the whole scene flooded with big-hearted vibes.
