Jarvis Earle has just returned home to Cronulla from California, where he made the semis of the Huntington contest. The last Cronulla goofyfooter to do that at Huntington was Occy, almost 40 years ago. The result has put Jarv, 20, in with a shot at qualifying for the world tour at his first crack. Forty years ago, Occy just arrived, one day walking over the sand dunes from Kurnell and straight into stardom. Jarv’s arrival has been almost as meteoric. Jarv is a very Cronulla story.
