My mum is part of a group up on the Gold Coast called The Surfing Witches. It’s a women’s social surfing club who surf all over the Goldy, but it’s a lot more than that. My mum is actually a part of a splinter group within the club who call themselves ‘The Spring Chickens.’ It’s a dozen or more women in their sixties and seventies who’ve come to surfing late in life and just found how incredible it is.
