A CASA DI CAIFA Lo condussero dal sommo sacerdote Caifa. Caifa fu sommo sacerdote di Gerusalemme tra il 18 e il 37. Che Gesù venisse processato in una dimora privata contravveniva alla legge ebraica perché, secondo la Mishnah, la legge rabbinica, i processi dovevano avere luogo in un'area pubblica o «casa del giudizio» (Beth Din). Il processo avvenne di notte e durante una festa, la Pasqua, cose entrambe proibite. DAVANTI AL SINEDRIO Là si riunirono tutti i capi dei sacerdoti, gli anziani e gli scribi.
