LA CELLA DI UN MONACO CERTOSINO

L’ORDINE CERTOSINO, fondato da Bruno di Colonia nel 1084, prende il nome dal primo monastero fondato sul massiccio della Chartreuse, sulle Prealpi francesi. Il suo stile di vita monastico era originale. I conventi di questo ordine consistevano in celle singole isolate l’una dall’altra, in cui i monaci svolgevano tutte le attività quotidiane in solitaria: pregare, studiare, mangiare e dormire. Ci si riuniva solo per le funzioni religiose – mattina, pomeriggio e sera – e per i pasti della domenica e nelle feste principali; in più, una volta al mese facevano una passeggiata insieme.
