Deutschlands wohl ältester Hausarzt, Helmut Bergdolt, ist 95 – und will einfach nicht aufhören. Ein Hausbesuch

Der Radiologe, Internist und Hausarzt Helmut Bergdolt sagt, er habe in seinem Leben, das nun schon mehr als 95 Jahre dauere, keinen Tag gearbeitet. Menschen zu helfen gebe ihm Sinn. Er kenne kein beglückenderes Gefühl, als zu spüren, dass man für andere etwas sein könne. „Schönen Gruß von Doktor Bonhoeffer“, sagt er, dem Theologen, den er für dessen Weisheit schätze und für den Widerstand gegen Hitler, auch wenn Bonhoeffer dafür sterben musste. Bergdolt lächelt sein Lächeln, das jung ist und zugleich uralt. Er liebe, was er tue, seit bald 75 Jahren. Und das sei auch schon das ganze Geheimnis.
