Joe Biden will sich zur Wiederwahl stellen, die Vorwahlen sind längst angelaufen. Nun zeigt sich, dass der Präsident immer häufiger Namen oder Länder verwechselt und Dinge vergisst. Wie sehr besorgt Sie das? Ich habe Joe Biden kürzlich zwei Stunden lang selbst erlebt. Er ist vor der demokratischen Fraktion aufgetreten, hat Fragen beantwortet und Witze gemacht. Meine Mutter hat Demenz. Ich kenne diese Krankheit. Joe Biden hat keine Demenz. Es geht ihm gut. Die gesamte Debatte ist Unsinn. Der Sonderermittler Robert Hur attestierte Biden in einem Bericht ein „schlechtes Erinnerungsvermögen“ und „mit zunehmendem Alter nachlassende Fähigkeiten“. Das mediale Echo war verheerend.
