Archetype: Mentor Strengths: Wisdom, Force knowledge, insight ”She’s run this watering hole for a thousand years.” It’s quite the introduction for Finn and Rey as they enter Maz Kanata’s lakeside castle on Takodano alongside Han Solo. Inside, the sights and sounds of gambling and eclectic musicians are reminiscent of cantinas found in previous Star Wars films, but nothing prepares the audience for the diminutive humanoid who calls out the smuggler’s name and asks after his first mate Chewbacca. It is at Maz’s table that we see Rey and Finn begin to become a part of something new, to break bread with others. It is also at this table where Maz offers knowledge about the ways of the galaxy and the darkness spreading through it. She challenges Han to go back…
