The actress behind the Borg crew member Seven of Nine, Jeri Ryan, shared her thoughts on being a part of Star Trek: Voyager with Star Trek Magazine in June, 1998.

Star Trek: Voyager Special: Does the production of a season of Star Trek: Voyager feel like a fast process? Jeri Ryan: It depends on my mood. Sometimes, it feels like several years. But it’s really been kind of a whirlwind. I love to work, but 26 episodes is a long season. That’s a lot of work. One reason you sign onto an ensemble show is because they have to divide the storylines evenly among the characters and you get a little time off [to spend with your family]. I think the character development in every direction on the show is terrific, not only the addition of Seven. I love the relationships between all of the characters.
