The lights dimmed at Vic’s Las Vegas Lounge, located in one of Deep Space 9’s holosuites, and the silverhaired proprietor took the stage. Vic Fontaine smiled at the guest of honor seated at the front table. The selfaware, interactive hologram signaled to his piano player, who began tickling the ivories in the key of D Major.
