The World Money Fair in Berlin isn’t just an annual industry get-together; it also marks the start of hunting season for collectors of rare and highly limited fair-exclusive coins. Whether it is circulation coin sets from Belgium, the Netherlands and Japan (and this year, Finland and Switzerland as well), the annual Panda medal, the Berlin Kookaburra or a newly introduced German coin card signed by the artist, treasure hunters have their hands full every year. But the first few minutes are crucial if you want to get your hands on these coveted items, which are initially sold for around €15 to €30 and can fetch prices of €100 to €200 while the event is still ongoing.
