BEING NAMED SportsKid of the Year is a reward for what an athlete has accomplished, both on and off the field. But there’s a forward-looking element as well. We expect big things out of our SKOTY choices, and they haven’t let us down. For instance, if you turn to the middle of this issue, you’ll see a poster of 2020 winner JuJu Watkins, who has become one of the best college players in the country while starring at USC. She’s not the only recent SportsKid to star on a huge stage. Back in 2019, Ally Sentnor won the honor.
