Flying high So many times, after a loved one has died, I’ve heard people say they have seen butterflies at the time of them passing, or at special times when thinking of that person. I’d never experienced such a thing until a second cousin in Australia lost both her parents a year apart. She sent me a link to a recording of her Mum’s funeral, and a reading was being made by the graveside about how her parents had met, when two beautiful butterflies appeared. They fluttered around the grave until the end of the reading, before flying off. So beautiful and comforting.
