People in the Caribbean developed a way of speaking English with a distinctive accent, rhythm, and grammar, a little like the way Granny speaks in this story. Many Caribbean words were adapted from languages other than English. For example, one West African word for ghost is dupe. The word became duppy (DUH-pee) in the Caribbean. Creepy Peepers

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: WHAT TO DO: 1. Ask a grownup to heat the oven to 350°F. Spread a tablespoon of pizza sauce onto each English muffin half. 2. Set olive slices in place for your creatures’ eyes. Add little pieces of pepper in the olives’ holes for scary pupils. To make your creatures even creepier, add another pair of eyes! 3.
